Texas Chip Seal for Driveways & Ranch Roads

Hot tar. Fresh chip rock. Rolled in tight. One firm driving surface that ends the mud and the dust — for a fraction of what full asphalt paving costs.

The Surface

What Is Chip Seal?

Chip seal is how Texas counties have surfaced roads for generations — because it works. We spray hot tar over your prepared base, spread chip rock across it, and roll it in. The rock locks into the tar and cures into one firm driving surface that seals and protects the base underneath.

Ends Mud & Dust

No more mud pits after a rain and no more dust clouds all summer. You drive on a real surface, every day, in every season.

One Firm Surface

The chip rock bonds into the hot tar as it cures, forming a single solid layer — not loose gravel that migrates, ruts, and washes away.

Protects the Base

The sealed surface sheds water off the top instead of letting it soak in and tear your base apart from underneath.

Far Less Than Asphalt

Chip seal delivers a paved-road result for far less than the cost of full asphalt paving — the smart money for long drives and private roads.

Built for Texas

Heat, heavy trucks, ranch traffic, long rural stretches — chip seal is the surface Texas roads are made of, and it’s all we do.

How It Works

The Process

Done right, in the right order. Four steps between a dirt or gravel track and a finished road.

  1. 1

    Grade & Prep the Base

We grade and shape your existing driveway or road first. A chip seal is only as good as the base under it — so the base gets done right.

  2. 2

    Spray the Hot Tar

Hot tar (asphalt emulsion) is sprayed evenly across the full surface. This is the glue that holds the finished road together.

  3. 3

    Spread the Chip Rock

Chip rock is spread over the hot tar in a uniform layer while the tar is still tacky, so every stone seats into it.

  4. 4

    Roll It In

The surface is rolled to set the rock firmly into the tar. As it cures, the stones lock in and form one firm driving surface.

Who It’s For

Made for Country Ground

Gravel & Dirt Driveways

Tired of re-grading, re-rocking, and tracking mud into the house? Chip seal turns that driveway into a finished surface.

Ranch & Farm Roads

Feed runs, trailers, and daily ranch traffic beat dirt roads to pieces. Chip seal holds up and keeps the operation moving.

Private Roads

Shared private roads and subdivision lanes get a county-road surface without a county-road budget.

Long Rural Drives

The longer the drive, the more full pavement costs. Chip seal is the economical way to finish a long stretch — and finish it for years.
